Wireless transmission
Bulbs light with nothing plugged in.
Hold a fluorescent tube or a neon bulb near the coil and it glows on its own. Four neon bulbs come in the box, so you can show it the minute it arrives.

Your phone stays your phone.
Audio arrives over Bluetooth rather than a cable, and the input stage is protected, so nothing you connect gets fed high voltage back. The sound is cleaner than a standard arc plasma speaker too.

Fit the pin
Screw the discharge needle into the hole in the top plate.
Connect power
Plug the adapter into the socket on the side of the unit.
Switch on
Any mains socket, 110-220V. The arc starts on its fixed frequency.
Pair and play
Find M18 on your phone, connect, phone volume to max, then bring the power knob up.

Read this first
The arc is high-temperature plasma and will ignite paper, fabric, solvents and anything else flammable. Run it on a clear surface, keep it away from pacemakers, phones, cards and hard drives, and never leave it running unattended.
Is it safe to have on a desk?
Yes, on a clear hard surface with nothing flammable nearby. The output is high frequency, so it feels different to mains voltage, but treat it as a piece of lab equipment rather than a toy and keep it out of reach of young children.
Will it damage my phone?
No. Audio arrives over Bluetooth, so your phone is never wired to the coil, and the input stage is protected.
What music sounds best?
Square-wave tracks. Ordinary music plays, but it is thinner. Search for square wave or chiptune versions and the difference is obvious.
Does it work on UK mains?
Yes. The adapter takes 110-240V at 50/60Hz. EDIT: confirm whether you ship a UK plug.
How long can I run it?
In short bursts of a few minutes, with breaks. The finned base sheds heat, but continuous running shortens component life.
What if it arrives faulty?

Everything is fine, it works well. A special feature: it's loud and shouldn't be used for long periods due to the ozone it produces; it's better to use it in a well-ventilated room.
It works well. however, the adapter plug included does not match with electrical outlets of my nation. i had to buy another adapter plug for my nation. other than that, i have no complain.

It was a little fiddly to get the item to work, but it works now. It is loud if you have it at full power. Be warned :-)

It works. The lightning bolts are long (about 10 centimeters), clearly visible in daylight. It clicks very loudly - it's hard to endure for long periods. If you place a glass (dome) on top, it's almost silent.
Works as stated, cool effect. Unfortunately, the music mode is somewhat disappointing; I didn't expect too much from that mode either.
The attached instructions are very clear to understand.
